My Life: Wired

And so as my cycle of phases go, I am in my mnml2mxml phase, in other words, cut out all the excess crap that I have. On of the things I have considered cutting is screen names. I currently was on about 4 total screen names. Two on AOL and two with MSN, I recently dropped the MSN accounts and I am considering cutting out one of the AOL screen names, keeping it all under one.

Originally I considered keeping my Online life separate from my real life. I guess you can call it paranoia, as now entering the job force I worried that some bad posts might actually be visible by those I would not want to see. Kind of in the sense where I have to carry a professional persona... or be fake. But you know what, as we are in this digital age, fuck that. I am sick and tired of trying to hide myself, and using a simple handle should be relevant enough to keep me hidden by those that don't know me well enough.

I guess it all started when I dropped Outlook, Since I been using outlook from about 1997 (or at least outlook express), this was a huge change to go strictly on gmail. Go purely online. This also mean begin using Google contacts, Google calendar, and remember the milk. I was actually shaking with 'buyers remorse' after ditching Outlook as sad as that is. But now I am enjoying it, because everything is pretty much in-sync. So with me ditching Outlook, I didn't want to switch back and forth from Google Apps and Gmail, so I made gmail my primary account and have it pull from all my other accounts.

Regarding emails, I am still trying to decide what I want to do with that. I currently have about 8 active email accounts. Which is another field I need to cut. I will probably end up cutting a few out, trying to focus on 3 main accounts.

Besides that, I also am enjoying LiveDrive as I am primarily going to use that account as a backup and archive drive. But it is taking too damn long to upload 400 gigs and I am desperately wanting to upgrade to Windows 7 -=p

Well, in other news I created a task list... one of them is to give this website a complete overhaul under the hood mainly, but also probably a new theme. Who knows. So I will end it here.
