My Life: Wired

Best Buy use to be a great company, actually one of my favorites until I discovered Fry's Electronics. Best Buy though began to get big, and this is when it all changed. Suddenly competitors were dying out, including Good Guys and Circuit City. Best Buy began acquiring other companies, and in house them, like that overpriced pathetic sense of computer maintenance Geek Squad.

But it just kept getting worse. Now talking about gaming, and the uproar of all the gaming systems out now, you can pick up a ps3 for half the price as when it came out.

And really when it comes to it, these systems are NOT HARD to install. I think the hardest part would be getting the wireless internet configured if you have a secured router. But besides that, it is cake. But what about those that are just technically moronic? They must have some friends somewhere who was born after the hippy movement and know SOMETHING about technology. Ah, but you don't need to worry, Geek Squad will come and save you... and you only have to pay an extra 50% of what you paid for your ps3! (actually 43.331% but who's counting).

That's right, for a mere $130, Geek squad will setup your console, install latest updates (which requires only to go online), set up parental controls (do people actually use those?) and setup one (and only one) online account.

I seriously would like to know someone who actually paid for this... they would need to be bitch slapped...

Maybe I should buy that and watch them hook it up... without a wireless internet... or a tv made after 1990... that would be interesting :D
