Just How Stupid People Are
Symantec has done it again... from bloating up their software to hog all of the resources, to dumbing down their software so that moronic people can install it and use it...
This video is showing you the "dangers" of twitter links... There are no more god damn "dangerous links" on twitter as there are in any other website. Really the sadness comes there after, where the 'individual' decides to click on accept on everything that pops up. You have to be pretty fucking stupid to do that.
"Oh Twitter link... yay"
"a pop up from a website saying my computer might be infected?"
"Oh look, it's my computer in the browser... except it doesnt show any other drives or my name... but it looks like it, so it must be real!"
"wow look at all those viruses its finding, better hit clean"
"Hmmm.... a file needs to be installed, guess I better do it to keep my computer safe!"
"Lalala...hmmmm... Windows PC Defender.. I thought it was called Windows Defender... well, they wouldn't lie because that would make baby Jesus cry"
"Why am I doing another scan?"
"Holy crap, look at all those infections!"
"I better click the 'protect now'"
"I have to pay? Sigh... Well, I have all those viruses, I better do it."
I don't know, just my thought process on the user that actually goes through that whole process... but how dumb do you have to be? well, for one, I have consistently cleaned programs like that off other people's computer, so there are a lot of idiots out there.
Not to mention that the user was running IE6... C'MON! Do people purposely ignore or disable windows update? yeah, why do security fixes eh? They deserve to get that shit, and deserve to pay $$$$$ to geek squad to fix their stupidity.
