My Life: Wired

Ok, I'm a AIM fan, I have been using it for about 12 years or so, and even before then I was using instant messenger on AOL. I actually still use AIM to its current version because of how flexible it is, with the ability to easily switch screen names and link it to social services. But unlike me, there are a lot of people that like to stick with the old school apps. The love being AIM version 5.9.x because if you don't remember after 5.9 AOL began playing with AIM Triton, a AIM with excess bloat, and the betas were failing bad. So AOL got smart and cleaned it up and put it out as AIM 6. But people still loved the small and simple AIM 5.9.

While it seems that AIM 5.9 isn't affected, AIM 5.5 surely is, as every time you sign on you get this message:

I am kind of wondering how this will happen, probably just get a warning when you try to sign in or something. Who knows, because they already got rid of AIM warnings sadly. What I don't get is that I didn't get the warning when I logged into 5.9.x OR 1.x. Maybe the protocol is different, or maybe it's too old to care.

Wait a minute...

Warning still works if you warn under AIM 1.x? wtf?! i'm so confused now :(

Update: Guess not, I just tried warning myself again and it reset to 0%... odd...

Update 2
