Ugh... Enough Spam Already
Well, I think I got it... Actually I hope I got it. I shouldn't get any more spamming comments, because since I relaxed the rules a bit I got bombarded with new comments full of this crap.
Pretty much this time around I prevented any form of incorrect linking. As in, anyone using the <a href> or [url] codes will automatically get rejected. Not sure why any normal commenter would even post those kind of links on a custom blog. Anyway, commenters, if they want to post a web address must do so via [link] or just typing out the address.
The biggest change, though, is the fact that if you are posting under an unverified email, any web address you post will automatically get rejected. This should completely nullify any spam comments. though I say should, because they are tricky bastards.
So if any new commenters do want to post a comment with a link, they can post a comment, verify their email, and then post a new comment, which will actually auto-merge the two comments.
Whew, I hope my battle with the spammers is over with... Maybe, or maybe I just screwed up the coding where no one can comment :) If so, I hope someone will email me.
