Drinking...
This is probably the main reason why I gave up drinking...

Can't Stop Watching This...
Generation Y
I found this on a comment over at Gizmodo. Very interesting.
Generation Y is a misnomer.
Y implies we follow in our parent’s footsteps,
Y implies we agree with the horrors they have created and left us to not understand.
Y implies we are the same.
We Are Millennials.
We are a generation of Change.
We are both Generation We and Me.
Good and Bad.
Hopeful and Resentful.
Loved and Abused.
Wise and Childlike.
We don’t echo. We scream!
We are not Net, we are Social.
We rode the Magic School Bus then graduated from Hogwarts.
Sesame Street was left behind for the hand me down Nintendo 64.
We replaced board games with MMORPG and LARP.
We watched dial-up wires become wireless frequencies.
We Skype with people in 10 different countries at once.
We cried over Steve Job’s death and then asked Siri what she was wearing.
Damn Code...
Eventually I will get around to cleaning it up. Eventually...
Time Off
So I have a week off from work... in the middle of October... What the hell am I going to do?!
Outsourcing
So I decided to revamp the website, which has been my main function this weekend besides the random festivities. My main goal is to simplify the coding process, adding functionality, and making things less troublesome.
One of the key things that I have considered is transferring my commenting system over to disqus since it adds so much more function and is a lot easier to implement then adding the same kind of things in a custom code. Finding out that I forgot to add the 'unsubscribe' link to the emails on comment notification (thanks 'ant') made me realize that I needed to make that switch. The issue is that I have to transfer my old comments into the system. So that will probably be the focus this week, then go live.
After that I will do some clean up and start transitioning from xhtml 1.1 strict to html5 which should be interesting, but not too bad. Hopefully I can clean up this code a bit and try to ajax some of the stuff.
Update 09/15: Transition is done, now the fun part... clean up :p
Timeline
Having a blog for so long, it is kind of amazing to see how things have changed, with the design and mostly the entries. I went through where I would post anything and everything I could on my site, even things that were or should have been kept to myself. I have spilled my emotions over the web, with an intent to either get things off of my chest, keep record of what happened, or type a message for someone in hopes that they would read it.
I have also gone through a paranoid stage where I realized how much of my personality, and deep emotions were forever online, so freaked I changed my name in hope that would curb some of my paranoia. I also began hiding old blogs as they seemed irrelevant to the current time and current life (which is why anything before 3 years has almost disappeared.)
Truth is, life has been changing on me so much to where I can't keep hold of it. And I am not saying my external life, but I also mean myself, as I have noticed my personality, my goals, and my habits just changing drastically. In most part it is becoming harder and harder for me to post a real entry for this blog, mainly because I have nothing to say, or wish to say, at least for my personal blog. I believe it is just that, I could write down every moment, and mark every part of my life, but that brings me nothing. I would rather make new moments, and live life to the extent that I can, enjoying every moment, regardless of how negative it is.
Trance.nu Is Done? :(
I just found out that Trance.nu is done. Given this is old news, I rarely went to the site anymore. I signed up back in 2002, which I remember going on the site at my school and browsing the forums. I think it was the first forum I got heavily involved in, second being 3.8mustang.com (which changed to 3.7mustang.com). I posted a lot from 2002-2005 and even bought a trance.nu t-shirt to represent.
it's really a shame...
